Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers, shares, kind words and advice! Peaches is still missing but I haven’t given up hope. We’ve had some leads from folks with motion sensor cameras picking up an orange cat early in the morning in different close by neighborhoods. Thank you again for the support!

Well, what happened when you went searching the area for car activists? Nothing. Because you couldn't make the effort to find Peaches. Peaches will find a new owner.

Oh no! First please ignore all the scammers popping up to “help you”. My best advices is to *Post posters (actual very large posters people can see when driving by) everywhere in your neighborhood- especially where people come and go from the area- like stop signs. *Add a reward to your poster to motivate people.* *Your kitty probably got scared and is hiding somewhere- I can’t stress this enough! * *Cats that are scared will often just hide, even if you’re calling for them. They can hide in very very small spaces! Trying going out late, at night, to look for your kitty with a flash light. *The best success story I’ve heard of finding a cat was when someone followed all that advice clip about how to find your cat and went out at night with a flashlight and finally found his cat in a hedge because of the eye flash from the light- like a month later! It’s worked for a few other people who have tried it since I’ve posted this advice. Look in bushes and trees etc- where a cat would hide if he doesn’t want to be seen. Remember they will often find the *smallest, darkest, tightest spot* and just stay there. If you go out that late take someone with you so you’re safe. Cats are also naturally active around dusk and dawn so those are good times to look too- you just can’t use the eye flash to your advantage. You might want to put a warm kitty box outside- look online for tons of info about feral cat boxes- in case your baby tries to get home at night. *It might be worth your while to set a trap with their fave food. * Lately I’ve need hearing from tha have have been setting up a motion sensitive camera around traps and other comfort measures and I’ve heard of a few people who see their cat actually approach the smells of the familiar thing so that might be worth your while. It can take sometime to coax a scared cat. Don’t give up- it can take a long time to find a cat. Ask your neighbors if you can check their yards (obviously they may not be into the night time thing). Keep going out and looking late at night. And check the shelters daily online for a very long time- it can take kitties a while to get there. Shelter online systems usually have pictures so it’s a good way to check. Just make sure you check for both lost and adoptable- though their system is good mistakes can happen. Good luck.

Well, it takes an honest effort, to have any chance of success. Often, neighborhood cat activists have a support network. They may be able to provide multiple traps. That would be Peaches best chance of being captured safely. I hope everything works out. Keep your pet cat safe and happy. Keep them indoors. Very low chance of diseases. No ticks. No fleas. No risk of injury. No chance of eating poison. Trust me, my cat Tiffy is content watching the world go by from her window sill. Indoors, she is queen. Outdoors, she would be terrified. And at extreme risk. I would not wish that on anyone. Be kind to animals.
