PLEASE HELP US BRING BRO BRO HOME! Bro has been missing since the last weekend in June. We have been looking for him every day since. The Tuesday after he went missing we had to leave for our grandmothers funeral and didnt get back till the following Friday! The whole time i was gone I was panicking. Because i knew the first few days are crucial in finding him. When i got home i talked to neighbors and she told me she seen him crossing main st by the pit ( ice rink ) by my hse on monday or tuesday.? Im not sure if that was Bro because he never left our hse or the surrounding hses yards. He always came when we called for him ALWAYS. I called the police department and animal control and got nothing... Please help me find im if you know or may have seen him please let me know... I have his dad and brother to and they started meowing ever since his disappearance. He is very very lovey will come to you with all the love in the world because he has been loved since he was born. It breaks my heart that he has been gone this long and im desperate to find him. My 7 year old searches our yard everyday for him and ive been walking and driving all over hoping for the chance to find him.

Things to know about indoor-only cats that get outside: - [ ] A cat who finds himself in unfamiliar territory may go into survival mode aka silence mode. He will hide in a dark, small, place where he will feel safe until he becomes more familiar and then will venture out. When he does go out it will most likely be just before dusk, just before dawn, and during the 3am time frame. He may not respond to you when you call him. - [ ] Tips: - [ ] Open your garage door a bit and put water and food (the smellier the better) and his litter box inside the door with an item of clothing with the scent of his favorite human. That could be PJs, a t-shirt, sox. You want him to smell things he's familiar with. Keep those refreshed. - [ ] If you can't do that, do put the same near the foundation of your home or under a porch. He will not want to wander into the open where he is vulnerable. - [ ] Make a flyer with his photo and your contact information, large photo, large print and distribute to all of your neighbors. - [ ] Put a lost cat poster on your lawn. You want people to know who to call if they see him and you want them to know he's lost - [ ] Post him on Lost Cats Minnesota (FB page) using www.PetFBI.org and Nextdoor. - [ ] Go outside at those times noted above and sit in a chair and talk to him in a soft voice. Use words he’ll recognize. Punkie's owners did that every 15 minutes for 15 minutes 4 times and he came out and is home safe. Shaking his favorite treats helps too. You want him to smell and hear things that are familiar to kind of snap him out of his silence mode. It may take time. - [ ] Keep your chin up. You need to be positive and you need to function. You can find him.

Set out a live trap with food and water.

They are usually closer than you think and scared/hiding (unless not fixed). It can be over a week before they venture out for food. Don’t rely on neighbors seeing your missing kitty posts. *Live traps work well but must be monitored often. Talk to all neighbors and physically check yourself all surrounding sheds, garages, under bushes and decks (5 house radius). Give your mail carrier a pic with phone # on it. Check and post on Nextdoor, PawBoost, PETFBI, and Petco Love Lost. If they come back, chip and clip if not already done. 🐱

No matter how long your kitty has been gone, stay vigilant with all lost cat protocols and advice - kitty may have been taken in by a well meaning person and could be very near - keep posters and flyers fresh and communications current with local animal control, vets, and rescues for new leads - keep the faith 💪🏼 Use whatever is applicable in the following for your situation: Extra strength prayers your kitty is safe nearby (cats usually stay in the vicinity) and home very very soon - put their food and warm shelter outside your door in a protected area and/or in your garage - diligently canvas the area and local businesses with large colorful posters and flyers - contact local animal control, vets, and rescues for any possible leads - cross post on neighborhood/community FB pages for further reach - cats are superior survivalists - stay vigilant in searching and don’t lose hope 🙏🏻❤️💪🏼 P.s. Beware of scammers saying they have found your kitty and need $$$ and your contact information. And also, how an Instagram/FB site helped them find their pet - don't click on site. All BS scammers. 🙏❤️💪🏼
