Hopefully he’s microchipped - ensure microchip information is current. Use a flashlight to look in, under, behind all dark spaces so that their eyes glow. You can do this during the day, but especially at night when things are quieter. Look up in trees in case kitty climbed up to escape another animal. Put some of your dirty laundry and the cat’s bedding outside for the scent. Set up trail cameras outside and use a humane trap that you can buy at a hardware store or borrow from a rescue. Hang LOST signs in your area. Post on Nextdoor app, Ring app, area facebook pages, and lost and found facebook pages. Check local animal shelters in person. Ask hotel staff if they can assist with this stuff.
