Here are some tips: You can contact animal control and police in case someone finds your cat and calls them. Also use pawboost, lostmykitty and petfbi to list your cat as well. With Lostmykitty, their free option includes making a flyer, and I believe they email a photo to all the local shelters. They also offer an amber alert where they will call and leave a message about your missing cat to all your neighbors. If you choose the free option first, they than usually offer you a discount on the amber alert. Probably the most helpful thing you can do is see if your town and surrounding towns have community Facebook groups and join them and share this post there. These are the people who will see your cat! And if you haven't already, post your lost cat on the many missing pet sites on Facebook. There are usually several for specific areas. When indoor only cats get outside, they often start acting wild, making it hard to catch them. You can try setting a humane trap in your yard. This has helped many people catch their cats. Also having a trail camera will let you know if your cat is coming around. And usually indoor cats are very frightened outside, so they find a good hiding spot nearby and often stay there. So search with a flashlight at night and look for glowing eyes in hiding spots and up in trees. Sometimes when an indoor cat gets out, they start acting a bit feral. So if you are able to leave the door your cat got out of a little open or even a window, they might come back in on their own when no ones around. This has worked for me before. Also, call all the local vets and emergency vets and email them a photo so they can keep an eye out if anyone brings your cat to the vet. Lastly, check the local shelters on Facebook regularly as they usually post pictures of the animals they receive. You can also file a missing pet report with them and you can go to them in person and look at the cats they have. I hope you find your cat soon đź’š

Please follow my advice. No litter box outside, no food outside. It will attract other animals including other cats who will keep your cat away if trying to return home. ⬇️ Have you distributed flyers- by knocking on doors to your neighbors and handing them out, and posted them on poles etc. as well even to any businesses close by? If you get a sighting you need to set and MONITOR a humane trap at the sighting location right away and at morning dusk. *NEVER LEAVE A TRAP UNATTENDED. You can use rotisserie chicken and Friskies Whitefish and Sardines canned food as bait. Cats usually stay within a one mile radius from home. Most are found very close to home as in a few houses away or next street over. They are usually found (after getting sightings and with trapping) very close to their own home. Some come home on their own, usually in the overnight hours. Concentrate on canvassing your own neighborhood, however, in case the sighting was not of your cat. Cats don’t usually go far. They usually will try to return home between 10 PM and 5 AM with peak hours being 3-5 AM. Put a worn shirt of yours on your porch or near the door and continue to replace with a fresh one daily. Do NOT put a litter box outside. It will attract male unneutered cats who will spray property and chase your cat away if trying to return home. Some cats stay hidden for 3 weeks traveling at night. Flyers generate sightings.

I just sent you a wonderful video from YouTube and now all over Facebook it's in blueprint above it is a link to be pressed on and it will play how to find your lost kitty. The blueprint is front street shelter/video. It is for finding your lowest indoor only kitty or indoor outdoor access ki. Is kyro strictly an indoor cat that got out.... If so he is hiding probably within a 100 feet of your house tops may be a 150 feet. A typical neighborhood he is within a 4 or maybe 5 house radius. Right about putting out some used towels or clothing that smells like the family. I would also put outside a used cat bed or scratch post or even bowl that he uses with his scent on. Do not put out a used litter Pan contrary the popular belief feral cats and worse will come and urinate in it sending him the absolute wrong sense. You want to watch the video and it will even illustrate how to look even a neighbor's yards which will be the same as looking in your yards of course for your lost kitty and all the places please ask your neighbors tomorrow morning if you can look why you're looking and if you can look more than once in there yard. You will look calmly quietly and repeatedly days or nights and in all cases please do use a flashlight especially with a dark colored cat it shows so if their color their eyes. Look under porches look under sheds if things can get under the sheds. Absolutely look under decks they tend to hide in the corners in a bowlook in all the bushes and brush all around each house that we're talking about in leaves in any boxes or debris or barbecue stains and lawn furniture. Recently an indoor only kitty was found 2 houses away in the neighbor's wood stockpile. So of course stacks of wood and things like that are prime suspects also. You can even look if you have a silver drain near your house in the street a few cats have been found in there because there are spaces to space is to stand underneath the grating and it actually keeps the cat warmer in the winter then hiding in bushes. Please ask your neighbors if you can look they insist that they have to look ask if you can just be with them. Because actually nobody is going to look the way you look you're now getting educated and you're gonna watch the video on how to look. You can try even going out tonight very qui Italy sitting down and swiftly cooling you're cat probably will not heverything but every once in a while it works you might hear from you just listen after you call don't yell don't shake tree boxes like some people say I don't believe that I believe call them in a calm sweet manner and see if you hear a faint mule or a rustle or something. Most of the time because they are in survivor mode they stay absolutely mute You can open a window or a drawer a little bit even though it's cold and you can't make him come in the way it went out. The other wonderful chip and there are many but the other wonderful tip before the searching tip or after the searching tip or during the searching tip is to set up a humane trap which must be monitored very carefully and really only has to be set up at night because the cat will not come out probably during the day it will only come out at night when it starts to get very hungry and very desperate for food. There's a small chapter on it in the video and I just wanna expand a little by saying set it up close to where your Kitty got out maybe you can even see it from your window and besides putting newspaper on the bottom to kind of cushion the bottom put a again used smelly chowell or light blanket over the top that smells like the family inside of the Humane trap you are going to place the food which should be tuna fish in oil not water or even sardines in oil not water or they could be use on different days. It's some food in addition the back of the humane trap as it's directed and squirted a little bit of the oil in front of the humane trap where you will be setting up the door you wanna lure the Kitty to that spot and to go in. With the humane trap you'd absolutely want to monitor it every hour at least especially in the cold. So if you're in a family of more than one you can take terms and you do not have to set this up until 9 or 10 PM at night the cat we'll come out between that time and dawn. If kitty does not come by dawn you can take the food out put the trap away till that night. Try to borrow a trap from Your pet shelter or your animal control people or rescue or friend. If you cannot they sell them at tractor supply home depot Lowe's etc. Do not give up on your kitty your cat wants to come back but needs to help him get there. Kitty is an indoor outdoor access kitty let me know here on Facebook because there's certainly chips for them too and I can expand on tha❤🙏
