I wrote this and typed it up. I personally have used many of the options over the years! Good Luck!! (feel free to share with others, too.) VB -------> It is said that most lost cats don't go very far from home. Here are some tips that might help you to locate your kitty. Make a flyer with a good picture of your cat. Post all over your neighborhood, and the surrounding neighborhoods. And post in nearby Veterinary Practices. Talk to every delivery carrier which serves your neighborhood, UPS, FedEx, Prime, US Postal Service, etc, and any other regular service (such as delivery pizza, etc). Flyers will hopefully develop sightings, and that will help, too. Talk to every neighbor and give them a flyer. Ask them to look in window wells, crawl spaces, in every garage, in lawn buildings and sheds, under all covered equipment like furniture, and grills, and under any covered vehicles. Put food out near your home. Perhaps have some socks with your scent nearby. **A recent personal experience with this in our family helped also reinforce the usefulness of very late at night, and very EARLY in the morning, walking all over your neighborhood with a good flashlight and *SOFTLY* calling your kitty's name. Look in storm drains, under bushes, etc. Not really easy to do, but with almost no traffic, you might hear/ and be heard. There are animal trackers, and social media, and your local animal shelter. Go in person to look at their found animals! Many posts of both LOST and FOUND have no photo! GOOD LUCK!

Tips on Finding Cats Check everywhere inside the house. They can get into very small and unusual places - holes under cabinets, inside ceilings if there are tiles, closets, food cabinets, closets, etc. Cats have even been found inside couches. The cat may be hiding somewhere to stay warm. Check under cars. Cats may even hide inside someone’s car engine. Ask neighbors to check in their garages or under decks and around patios or porches - any space a cat could hide. They tend to get stuck in sheds or other people’s garages. Also, look up in trees. Bring a bag of cat treats or a noisy toy he might be able to recognize the sound. Someone else found his cat by playing friendly cat sounds from his phone or playing the sounds from another pet that may be familiar. Leave smelly socks or dirty laundry near home entrances so they can recognize your scent. This seems to work best. Try using a laser pointer at night to lure the cat out as well. Cats are more active at night check the neighborhood at night as well. They tend not to go far unless they got into a car somehow or someone took them. The sardines or mackerel fish scent can help lead them back home if you create a trail of food leading back to your home. Create an outdoor cat shelter with with straw not hay. Towels and fabrics do not retain heat in cold weather. An insulated box with straw is best. Find local cat trappers and trackers who can help you set up a humane trap near home as well. Animal rescue groups or shelters usually know someone or can loan one. https://be.chewy.com/how-to-find-a-lost-cat
