Message from Owner

Leo is a loved and valued member of our family. He went missing on the 6th of August from the SEA TAC AIRPORT CAR RENTAL Facility. He is a 9 year old Domestic Short Hair Tabby Cat Neutered Male named Leo. He escaped from his kennel when it was found open while loading our budget avis rental car from the SEA TAC AIRPORT CAR RENTAL Facility. He could have escaped anywhere from the rental vehicle check-in center, possibly to the outside of the rental facility around the elevators, and possibly in the budget avis parking lot level. But unsure specifically when he got out of his kennel. He was last seen in the kennel at the SEA TAC AIRPORT CAR RENTAL Facility. Please help us find him and if you do reach out to us. We are currently located in Pittsburgh and drove from the SEA TAC Airport CAR RENTAL facility to Pittsburgh and are still actively looking for him. His fur is Brown, black, and some white under his chin. He was wearing a red harness and blue nylon collar with orange fishes, a bell, and an ID tag shaped as a cat face w/ his name and 2 numbers inscribed on it. The 1st number is no longer valid, but the 2nd number is active and belongs to my daughter. He is chipped. Microchip #:840 He was just released from the animal hosp due to dehydration and constipation from the stress of flying and was foaming a little and drooling from the antibiotics that was prescribed to him. He was previously/presently prescribed science hill diet c/d from a past UI Blockage. We're very worried and are actively looking for him.

Mike Eddy we were flying from Honolulu to Pennsylvania with the connection flight in Sea Tac International Airport. Alaska airlines are horrible. We tried to board stowing my dog 3 different occasions. 1st attempt: arrived to late. We arrived 2 hours early. But... being in line for 45 minutes to check in our dog made us late. Had our tickets changed. 2nd attempt: arrived at Alaska airlines 3 hrs and 30 minutes early. In line for over an hour and almost late again. They stowed my dog and waited at the gate. Alaska Airlines switched terminals with NO AUDIBLE NOTICE. Thought they shipped my dog without us. They didn't. Alaska Airlines Supervisor said it was my fault because i didn't have the app. Got in a verbal altercation with him. He changed my tickets to the next morning. 3rd attempt: went back to check-in and stow my dog. The check-in gate agent read remarks from night supervisor. We got into it about the stupid app. He got the day supervisor. They were both informed of me prior and were waiting for me to return, just to turn me away. Then the day supervisor told me to find another airlines and canceled my tickets. The back and forth stressed my cat Leo out so bad that he didn't use the bathroom in days. Took him to a vet near the airlines hotel. He had to be treated for severe dehydration and constipation. He was on an IV and monitored for days and overnight. When Leo was released he was foaming and drooling a little from the antibiotics given. We decided to drive to Pennsylvania since traveling with airlines was to difficult along with trying to stow our dog in cargo. Upon loading the rental from the SEA TAC international Airport Rental Car facility we noticed the kennel door was opened. We stayed till 530pm informing staff and trying to look for him. But, we had to leave to Pennsylvania. My daughter was already late with starting school. We are currently in Pennsylvania now and had to leave without finding him. My heart is broken and we are worried sick about him. So.... looking for him at the Sea Tac international Airport Car Rental Facility or near it, isn't an option. I can book the shipping on an Airlines Cargo, send money for a travel kennel, and pay for the trouble of sending him to us. Or I can buy a greyhound ticket to pick him up when he's found. Either way, I will find a way to retrieve him.

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

Put out some things that smells like their favorite or familiar people. Do not use a litter box as this may be a beacon to predators as much as the kitty. Don't forget to change out the articles of things so the scent is refreshed. Ask your immediate neighbors and surrounding streets by 5 to 10 miles out to keep an eye out in garages, sheds, crawlspaces, porches, basements, and if possible under any places. Kitties can fit into some very small areas

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.
