Yorkie mix. Information from the neighborhood mail carrier. This dog owner had past and the kids didn’t want to take care of the dog. So they let the dog go. And he’s been running loose for a few days before I found him. So now he needs a home.

If it's wearing a rabies tag or county license, those are traceable back to the owner Any vet's office should scan for a micro chip for free. The warden has a chip scanner as well. Please be sure to require proof of ownership such as vet records and pictures of the dog from anyone claiming the dog Also post on the nextdoor app for the area. Ask the mail carrier in the area if they recognize this dog Dogs turned into the kennel have a much higher rate of being reunited with their owners, the sooner the better. Post flyers in the area where the dog was found. Put them at intersections, stores, banks, pharmacies and vets offices. Be sure to include a picture of the dog and your contact info
