LOST DOG HELP - register for free @ www . pawboost . com (no spaces, im using spaces here so Facebook will approve the comment) If recently lost, call your dog's name loudly and OFTEN from your home. DO NOT call loudly while driving/walking around as this could confuse your dog and lure it farther away from its home area. Use a normal voice while doing that. Place articles of worn shirts and/or pet bedding outside your front and back doors and at several points farther out in your yard. These scented items may help him/her find its way home. THIS REALLY CAN WORK Contact your local Police Department (non emergency) to be put in contact with an Animal Control Officer. Leave them your pet's info and your contact number so you can be reached quickly should someone call in with information. Consider offering a $$$ reward. GO TO Lost Dogs in Texas on Facebook ASAP and do the lost report. https://petfbi . org ((dont use the spaces, I used them here so Facebook would approve the comment)) and complete a LOST dog form. They will create a FREE flyer and email it to you so you can print as many as you need. POST these flyers EVERYWHERE in your neighborhood and surrounding areas, vets, shelters/impounds etc. Replace them when/if they become weathered. FLYERS WORK! Sheet protectors work great at keeping flyers dry, just tape the open end closed. Placing card stock paper behind flyer will help flyer display flat. Make a Lost Dog sign for your yard. Check your local City and or County impound at least every other day. Check ALL area shelters as a Good Samaritan may have picked your dog up and taken your dog to a distant shelter. Complete a lost dog report and/or leave a flyer with a picture of your pet and your contact info with shelters. Visit ALL these shelters and facilities NO LESS than every other day for a good while. They only have to hold the animals 72 hours. VISIT IN PERSON OFTEN, DO NOT RELY ON THE EYES OF OTHERS. Call local newspaper and place a lost dog ad in classifieds. Join this social network and post there. https://nextdoor . com/ Check Pet Harbor by Shelter. https: //bit.ly/48LKMpp (no spaces) https: //bit.ly/3LKj2Ig (no spaces) You might want to consider hiring a lost pet tracker / trapper. https://www.doggonedetectives . com/ (no spaces) https://tryfi . com/index.html (no spaces) Tracking Device - After you find your dog, you could get a tracking device. TRY TO DO ALL OF THESE THINGS QUICKLY!
