This is general info I share with those who have lost a dog. ♦️ First, please check your local PawBoost on Facebook, ie Victorville, CA - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets - PawBoost or Hemet, CA - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets - PawBoost and look to see if your pup is posted as FOUND. If not, then post a MISSING post. There is no cost for basic but do include your phone number where it asks for it, but NOT in the body of your post. This makes it a lot easier for a finder of your pup to get ahold of you when they find your pup. Also, please take a look at the PawBoost website. This option broadens the search base quite a bit more. You can do searches by breed, color, etc. Keep checking back on your post often. ♦️Post in other local Facebook Lost & Found pet forums, as well as 24PetConnect; Craigslist; NextDoor, etc. As you are posting, read through recent posts to find your pup. Criminals will often post on Craigslist to try to have a pet “rehomed.” ♦️I hope 🙏 your pup is microchipped. Make sure registration info is up to date through the registration company. ♦️ Alert your area animal shelters, starting with one closest to you. Many of them allow you to do an online LOST PET report and then you’ll be in their database. If you are unable to do that then plan on calling tomorrow. Check the found databases (which should be online) there, daily. Go, IN PERSON to as many shelters as you can. ♦️Make MISSING posters (flyers) with neon paper & use page protectors. You can get a free template from PawBoost. Post within a mile of the location your dog was lost, on street telephone poles,, and walk the neighborhood too. See if anyone has cameras which may provide additional information. Share flyers with local veterinarians, pet stores; anywhere you can to let people know about your missing pup. ♦️Be aware of $-C-@-m-m-€-R-$‼️
