Message from Owner

I was wrongfully evicted by forged signatures on a real est scam contract. I was evicted on August 3, 2026 at 9am. The deputy DS made me leave without allowing me to take my cat because he frightened her by moving too quickly. He said it was taking too long and made me get out. He said I could come back the following morning to get her and no one came to let me back inside. The people who scammed me out of my home of 40 years lied on a phone call saying they never went inside my home the day I was told to leave. They said the deputy DS said there wasn't a cat inside the hse at all. I believe they know where my cat, Daisy Duke is. I had Aurora Police come meet me to get my cat and they didn't help me at all. They told me to contact the DuPage County DS and I was told by them to call Aurora Police. I keep getting the run around. Daisy Duke is my everything. I need her desperately. I'm all she knows and it's killing me to think how she must be thinking her mama left her all alone. I can't stop crying. Please help me find her. I don't want to be without her. I'm offering $300 for her safe return. My number is. Please please please help find Daisy Duke!!!

Put a box of your dirty clothes and linens outside your door, hopefully the scent will guide her home. Do not use the litter box, it attracts other predators like coyotes.

Definitely call animal control or police and see if she’s still inside. My guess is if you couldn’t catch her, neither could they. But just in case they caught her, check with Aurora animal control as well as DuPage. Also check around the house including bushes, under porches or decks, etc. If they shooed her out, she is around the area. They don’t go far at first. Good luck, I’m so sorry this happened to you. This should never happen in this country, and it makes me really angry.

🙏❤️If lost close to home ...leave a door slightly open especially at night .... worked for our pet. Found them sleeping on the couch the next morning . Pets that are lost and scared most often will hide in underbrush tickets or shrubs close to home and feel safe to come out at night to find their way home

Get a lawyer, or call animal control telling them your cat may still be inside

The whole thing sounds awful. What kind of notice were you given regarding eviction. The cops had no right to make you leave your cat behind. Will you get your home back. Im sure she might be hiding in the house scared to death. See if a trap can be set inside and outside of the house. Do you have any family that can help you take some action. See if an attorney will help, maybe one that works with animal cases. Hope you find her.
