I just moved to Huntington Beach and he was exploring and his gps collar fell off. Really praying he’s ok. He’s fixed.

Sandy Tavares Never place anything outside that smells like the cat and no food, as it attracts the coyotes unfortunately!💔🐾😢

Please report your kitty as lost to your local Animal Shelter in case someone turns him into them. Also post him on Pawboost.com. Indoor cats are usually close to home within 3 houses away. After checking all possible hiding places in your home, hang clothes with your scent out. Scent only - no food or litter box. Ask your nearby neighbors to look in their yards, bushes, garages and outdoor cameras to see if he is there. Post fliers with the cat’s pic and your contact information on it around the area he is missing so if he is spotted, the person can tell you his location. Keep an access point open for him to slip back in your home. Look in bushes or hiding spots around your home as if this cat is unfamiliar with being outdoors, he is most probably scared of all the new sounds and smells and will make himself safe by finding a hiding spot. Sometimes the best time to find your cat is when the noise level is low - after hours - or early morning hours. Take a flashlight and look for the shining eyes. I also recommend playing a YouTube video on your phone of meowing cats turned up full blast right outside of your home, as cats are drawn to hearing other cats nearby.🙏🏻❤️🐾 Please note that you’d be reporting your cat as LOST to the Orange County Care Center!🙏❤️🙏

Please place his bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a can of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Trully 🍀 hoping you find your kitty safe and soon .🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Put a piece of your worn clothes near escaped location. They say not to place their litter box near the area because of predators but someone suggested it for my guy when he got lost and it worked both times we moved a he was lost. Praying for his safe return 🙏🏼

I hope you find him soon. Since you just move here, please know once you get them back to please keep him indoors as we have coyotes that are active in this area.

So sorry your kitty is missing 😰 You must actively look for your kitty. Please go out late at night or very early in the morning when there are very few cars and people out. Sit on your front or back stairs, wherever he’s more familiar and talk in a normal conversation voice, think low cell phone conversation. Do this for at least an hour if not longer, morning and night until found. If he likes treats and knows the sound of a treat bag do that also or any sound that he gets excited about. If he’s scared and hiding, this may be the encouragement needed to come out. Cats can hide for days. Also go to catsinthebag.org for many other helpful tips on how to find him. Good luck. I Hope he is found safe and soon. 🙏🐾💕FYI for this area - there are coyotes here. Lots of them and that are all through our neighborhoods every day. Please make Pippin an indoor only kitty if you find him. Even most dogs should not be left alone in their yards. Praying for your little sweetie to come home.
