Description

8 month old indoor Black Cat with few strands of white hairs with green-yellowish eyes.

Message from Owner

This is our sweet baby Meow Meow. He is my daughter’s first kitty and all of our hearts are currently in shambles. He is all black, with a hint of brown undertones in the sunlight but from a far he just looks like a regular black cat with a few strands of white all around his body but not much. He has no patches of other colors and has green-yellowish eyes. When we last seen him he was a little chunky but I fear he may of lost weight because he is used to eating 2 cans of kitty food a day with dry food to supplement. He has been gone 11 days. He has only been an indoor cat since the day we found him as a small kitten, a funny quirk about him is he comes to to you only if you meow at him. Which is why my 9 year old decided to name him Meow Meow. He can be a little skittish at times around most people that aren’t my kids or my self but he is very sweet. He is also best friend’s with my dog who has been so sad since he has been gone. On Friday May 29th, he slipped out when our older big dog was taking a long time getting out of the back door to go outside and we tried to call him with cat food and he ran into the avocado grove and hopped the fence and we haven’t been able to find him since. We haven’t seen any coyotes recently and we are hoping that he just wandered to far. We are near the corner of Soffel St. and Opal Ave in Mentone,CA. If anyone has any information, please feel free to reach out at anytime. Hoping and praying for the day we can bring Meow Meow home. 🙏🙏🙏 🐈‍⬛

This cutie is likely still close to home, so check all around your area with a flashlight after dark for eyeshine... The Animal Foundation Shining a flashlight around the yard, bushes, trees, under cars and cubby holes is a most excellent and effective way to detect any cats in the vicinity due to the eye shine. Post fliers around the neighborhood, check with your neighbors, search around the yard... Also, some of her favorite food and water, especially Starkist Tuna. A box with some of your unwashed clothing in it. Leave your garage door open enough for them to get in and leave their bedding and some of their favorite food and water in there for them. Make the effort to sit outside and have a conversation, to where the kitty might hear your voice and be drawn home. These are the things that a cat will recognize as being from home and it will attract them...

Please check everywhere around the house and surrounding area. This poor kit is very frightened and hiding close by... 1. Put dry food and water out. 2. Set up a camera so you can see if your baby is eating. 3. Set up a trap with tuna or salmon in it. 4. If you have garage you can set up in it with the door open just enough for a cat. If not set up by your door. 5. Put something with your scent out. This is how I got my girl back. They usually don’t go far from home.

Check websites of your local / county animal shelters for their recent acquired cats. They often have a section you can view their photos and details. I hope he is found 🙏🏻

The late night walk with a torch is how many have found their lost cats - please start doing this asap. Also and distributing flyers. This is a great local resource for finding your lost cat. https://www.scaredycats.com.au/find-lost-cat/find-lost-cat-step-by-step-guide/
