Can you ask a neighbor if they could give it shelter for the time being?

Sarah Harris Are you able to take him and have him scanned for a microchip? That is the quickest way to find his owners if he is chipped and the chip has current contact info. for owners. Any vet’s office will scan him at no cost to you. You could also take him to the new IACS facility at Raymond and Emerson (call them ahead for instructions in case they want a scheduled drop off time). If his family is looking for him, they should look there. Sounds like he is scared and needs a friend. Would a neighbor help him and do these things if you can’t?

Call the police to notify them about this lost dog in case owners have reported their dog missing. Please let this dog into your garage. It is asking for help to get out of the elements. Or see if a neighbor can help. Poor baby.

Please make a found report on IndyLostPetAlert.com Also, please post to the NextDoor app and Neighbors RING app You can take the pet to any local vet/24 hr animal hospital, to have scanned for a microchip at no cost. Please require *multiple* photos as proof of ownership & vet records if claimed, to ensure the pet goes home to their legal owners. Please offer food & water if possible. We never know how long they have been out. Thank you for helping to keep them safe 🐾 Indy Pets: lost & found https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1A7636jza2/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Poor baby is probably scared of the storm. Can you let it in a garage temporarily?
