Description

Sweet older. Age unknown I took him in about 1 year ago from a family friend. He is super sweet but has not been out of the hse since I got him. From the pic you can not tell but as of the time he took off he was a bit heavy. The clip on his ear is a tell that it is Max. Please help bring him . He is very much loved and missed!

Max's Owner Says

We found Max after almost 2 months in the neighborhood. I am so grateful for everyone in my neighborhood who was searching/looking out after him. I am blessed to have great neighbors. I had lost all hope and then an angel neighbor showed up at my door and said she found him.

Please post a missing cat report with Virginia Beach animal control. Visit the shelter, a couple three times a week in person. Don’t call and ask them to look for your cat. They are very busy with the shelter animals and don’t have time to go looking for your cat. also the yellow tabby cats are very common. You may have done these things, but I can’t tell from the responses. After 10 PM tonight go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your kitty and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your kitty. If your cat is chipped, make sure the registry has your up-to-date contact information. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take her around to your neighbors. I asked them if they’ve been in their shed or outbuilding since your cat went missing. A cat will go in there to hide and then the door gets closed and they cannot get out. You cannot hear cat crying to get out of a structure unless you are standing next to it. Ask your neighbors to call you if they see your cat.

Please don’t let them go out without being on a leash. Better yet don’t let them be outside cats. There are people that steal cats and poison them because they don’t want the cats roaming.

Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat.
