Dear guardian - do not walk around the neighborhood calling for him - stay right around where Maxi escaped - you don't want to lead him away from home - call for him from the escape point ; place wet food by the escape door and get a camera aimed by tomorrow night. When cats escape they freak out and go into survival mode and HIDE very close to the escape point, hiding from all humans...they hunker down and hide and often to get back inside at night - leave the escape door open 4 inches as late as possible - he's very close LURE him to your sweet calm calls and to WET FOOD (not dry attracts raccoons)place wet food bowl on a plate or larger bowl then add water to the outer bowl or plate to prevent ants from swarming the wet food... Use a flashlight to check under parked cars very close tonight to catch the GLOW of his eyes...it can take many nights for a scared cat to come out of hiding late night - get that camera on amazon overnight it or buy at best buy now. Mini blink will deliver tomorrow AM so you can set it up for tomorrow. Once spotted on camera eating BUT hiding from your calls THEN the next step is to humanely trap him - i'll post details about that piece... in the meantime talk to every neighbor on your block if not home tape a flyer to their front door using painter's tape (won't harm) ask neighbors to check RING camera's for night activity...you will get him home..be patient and keep taking action IN person. oxoxoxRead More
