You might raise your garage door a little and place some fishy smelling cat food in there along with something with Truffle's or your scent so he/she knows it's home. Also, search for him in the early evening and quietly talk to him and gently call his name. If you have a patio or deck, you could sit out there and gently call him. You don't want to sound urgent or angry. One woman on here was sitting outside talking with a neighbor when her lost cat just walked up on the deck! Talk with your neighbors and let them know you're looking for him. They will want to help by keeping an eye out. Take this photo with you. Also ask them to check outbuildings and their garage to make sure he/she isn't locked inside. A frightened cat will look for anywhere to hide and could get trapped. Ultimately, you may need to trap him/her in a humane trap if Truffle is too frightened to come. Please act SOON before he/she is chased or wanders out of the area.
