Please also do a post on Lost and Found Pets Toronto and file a found report with Toronto Animal Services (and keep checking their listings). Also post on Neighbourhood and park groups and get signs up. If anyone comes forward, they should provide proof of ownership (photos & vet records). You can also take the dog to a vet clinic to check for a microchip (free).

Please file a Found Pet report with Toronto Animal Services, and check their website's Lost Pets section. I recommend contacting Eddie's Network (a trustworthy group of volunteers who help people find their lost pets) because they may have advice or know whose dog it is. Please require proof of ownership from anyone who claims to be the owner, such as vet bills and/or photos.
