Enter the microchip number into this National website for free. When you enter the chip number in it will ONLY tell you the BRAND of chip. Call the BRAND of chip. They can tell you WHO IMPLANTED THE CHIP in such as a vet, rescue, shelter etc. Then call them and they can lookup the owner and call them. https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

Contact shelters to see if reported missing. Require proof of ownership if someone comes forward.
