General Information: Indoor cats are usually close to home. Check any and all hiding places in your home - closets, under side of mattress. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

With a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, walk the neighborhood where the cat is Lost, go out between dusk to dawn hours and with the light, look under vehicles,in their wheel wells, pat,or hit the hood of the vehicles, sometimes they hide in them for warmth. Look under and around bushes,up trees, in between buildings, around garbage bins ,if safe to, behind buildings,in courtyards, behind stairs,on balconies, use the light to search these places, and to catch the shine,or reflection of the cat's eyes. While you do this, calmly call the cat's name, walk the area, Calmly call the cat's name, then shake the treat bag. Do these actions throughout the neighborhood every night.

So sorry your cat is lost. Please post on Nextdoor and the Neighbors apps/ websites. Ask delivery people and postal workers if they've seen the cat, give them a flyer ask neighbors if they've seen the cat ,ask them to check their sheds, garages and bats, sometimes they get trapped in them. With a flashlight, look under porches and decks, use the light to search and to catch the shine,or reflection of the cat's eyes. Ask neighbors to check their yards, too, leave them a flyer, ask if you can put a flyer on their property. Pawboost and LostMyKitty offer free flyers for download.
