Message from Owner

Please help us find Wayne. He is family to us and we are devastated. He sneaked out our patio door last Monday and hasn't returned .We are looking everywhere. His brother Garth is also sad and keeps going over to the window looking for him.

Please try this, It works, I have done TNR and got my cat back after 2 wks doing this: Get humane trap, buy or get from shelter. Place by your home usually by wall, bush etc at Dusk. cover with towel, use Tuna as bait. Catch another cat, release and keep trying. Cats feel safer at night, have small range they go, and can smell Tuna a block away

Can you please update the original post above with some major cross streets that people would know the names of so people know the general area?

Cats are usually found within a four or five house radius. They may be hunkered down hiding or attracted somewhere. Ask your neighbors. Go outside at dusk or dawn with a flashlight and look for your cats, eyes reflection. Shake a container of treats to get his attention. Cats may not vocalize so you must search carefully.

Make an online report with lost.petcolove.org which posts to the PACC website using facial recognition. Make an online report with the Humane Society. Check on the PACC website under cats that have been found. Go to PACC in person every day to check.

Put up flyers in a very large area around where he was last seen. Make a scent trail by putting his bed and some of your old clothes and shoes outside.

Getting a humane trap is very important part of finding a lost cat. The cats are typically close by but hiding and scared to come around. Set up a trap baited with smelly food outside the exit where he escaped. You can borrow a humane trap from a shelter like Hermitage or Pacc and they will show you how to use it. Keep searching tho on foot under between behind and inside all areas around your property and your neighbors with a flashlight to reflect eyes and a treat bag to shake. Don't give up, be positive and proactive!

FOR INDOOR CATS: Between the hours of 11pm-2am walk around your block calling his name and shaking his favorite treat bag. Make sure to take a carrier with you as he will be scared. Contact homes around your block that have SHEDS or GARAGES. Kitties will seek dark places to hide and could get locked in. It’s warmer now, and neighbors may not open their shed/garage daily/weekly trapping kitty with no food or water.
