Put up large brightly colored signs in the area. Go online and notify the shelter since family will look there and legally it's required. Require proof of ownership/vet records and photos. Have the dog FULL BODY scanned (chips can migrate from the neck area) at a vets office for a chip, any emergency vet can scan too
