Message from Finder

This cat entered my yard last July. I messaged the Shelton Animal Control and sent them a photo, but so far nobody has claimed him. So I brought him into my upstairs bedroom. He is now fully vaccinated and neutered. Loves attention and rolls over on his back, etc.

FYI - Upon finding this cat last year, I immediately contacted our local Animal Control and sent them a photo. They said they would let me know if anyone claimed him. If nobody has claimed him by now, obviously he's a homeless stray. I had to take him inside the house as he had a vicious fight with an outdoor feral. I needed to protect him from further danger and we also have fox, bobcats, and coyotes out here. Also, I just found out about this PawBoost this week....otherwise I would have posted his photo much sooner! 🙂

Yes, because I thought this would help his chances of being adopted and finding a good home. He got into a fight with my outdoor feral cat and so I needed to get him to a vet anyways. Then after that I figured I'd get him neutered in hopes this would increase his chances of being adopted.

o...yes he's very friendly, rolls over on his back and loves to be petted, and even loves to sit on my lap. I can pick him up no problem, and he even walks freely into a pet carrier whenever I take him to the vet. However, I must be honest...on occasion he goes for my arm if he smells another cat on my clothing. I thought it was a play bite at first, but I think it may be because he's been penned up in the bedroom for the last 7 months. Plus I have two other indoor cats in the house. I've spoken to my vet about this and she prescribed some anti-anxiety for him, which I plan to try for a month. Other than this, he's very friendly and doesn't mind being petted. He's even good at the vet's office! He didn't display this biting issue until after the first month he was contained in the bedroom.

You vaccinated and neutered an animal that doesn't belong to you ?

What's his personality like? Is he friendly? Does he like to be picked up?
