Mia Cozart that your cat is being held by someone that wants money for returning him. Show them the texts/posts!

Mia Cozart probably a scam. 917 is New York City area. They might clone your phone... any number of things. Just contact the authorities.

They sent you a photo of your cat and you’re sure they gave him? Or are they trying to scam you and don’t actually have your cat? I hope you get him back soon.

Put a dirty shirt of yours in your garage (with the garage door cracked) also some of kittys things like a blanket, toys, carrier, water food so on. Kitty will smell your scent. If you don't have a garage the porch will work.. If kitty is normally a inside cat only he/she probably didn't go far. Look under cars including under hood of car, outdoor playground equipment, bushes, neighbors yards, trees so on.

Mia Cozart You can also call Animal Services, 815-319-4100, and tell them you have a lost cat and this person is saying they have it and asking for money and a game card. You have to leave a message and the officer will call back using a number that says “No ID”. They are on duty every day from 7 am - midnight.

Mia Cozart The photo they say they have of Furbie probably looks like one you have posted of him before. They can take your photo and make it look like he is someplace else, but it’s fake.
