🐱 IF YOU FIND A CAT 🐱 Here are the steps you should take to help reunite the cat with their family: ⸻ 1. Report to Your Local Shelter 📍 This is a MUST. File a found report with your local shelter so the owner can locate their pet: 🔗 Irvine Animal Care Center – Contact Info & Location ⸻ 2. Post Online Share the found cat on local lost & found platforms: • Nextdoor • PawBoost • Ring Neighborhood App • Local Facebook lost & found pet groups ⸻ 3. Check for a Microchip Take the cat to a vet clinic or animal shelter to be scanned for a microchip. 🔍 Many rescuers also carry microchip scanners. ⚠️ Always transport the cat in a secure carrier to prevent escape. ⸻ 4. Put Up “Found Cat” Flyers Not everyone uses the internet. Post signs around the area where the cat was found. ⸻ 5. Foster if You Can If safe and possible, foster the cat while searching for their owner. This helps keep them out of the shelter system.

Thank you for saving this Cats life. I’m sure someone is frantically looking for it. I pray you take it home with you. Not everyone is on Facebook so please take this cat to any Petsmart and Banfield in the back will check for free for a microchip. Please do this today. In addition, please call your shelter and report this cat lost. Please fax a flyer of it over there. Owners always call shelters to see if someone has found their cat. It looks like it’s out in the middle of nowhere. Please post on nextdoor.com your neighborhood watch. It goes out to hundreds and hundreds of people. In addition, please keep checking pawboost to make sure that someone is not posting this Cat lost.
