I am aware that this is a long shot in the dark , I may be a fool .. But I'd rather look like a fool than to give up entirely .. I am posting in this group as I've been told that animals try and go back to their original living areas and what was familar to them .. His familiar area would be West 17th st and North Park Ave in Grand Island. Those of you who have nothing helpful to say , please keep it to yourselves . In a world so cruel , you'd hope there are people who still have a sense of empathy . 😮‍💨 My contact info has updated since . I am resharing in hopes of a miracle and a prayer answered ..😭😭🥺 on the morning of 12/20/23 , my Phantom bolted out of the apartments of The Fairways at Lincoln apartments (The Links) . 485 Fletcher Ave Lincoln, Ne 68521 is the address and building number . Near Fletcher Ave and 7th street. Phantom went missing at 3 years old and he is now a 5 year old nuetured tuxedo male cat . His face is half black and white , has an L shape kink at the tip of his tail , all claws still intact , all his paws are white and he has green eyes. Unfortunately , a couple days after he went missing , there was a bad snow storm that came in shortly after it rained the morning he bolted out of the apartment unexpectedly ... I searched complex nonstop for over 2 weeks straight . I put up so many posters around the entire complex and also walked on foot , handing out flyers to surrounding houses/neighbors . I've set up camera's and had walked 80% of the entire complex by myself and on foot while having been very sick with covid . I've done any and all suggested helpful tips from putting clothes out , to the litterbox method (I decided to stop doing this after only 2 days because it's said it can attract predators but there was also a male orange cat roaming the complex that was the maintence guy's that lived there, so I stopped that method in fear that the orange male cat would try and run him off and mark the area to prevent Phantom from coming back.) , I put in lost reports , went into the humane society, etc etc. , the entire whole nine yards and more , absolutely any and everything you could ever imagine !!! This was never planned and I never let him outside to roam freely . Any time he had ever been outside was in a harness and leash with my supervision, but that was before I moved to Lincoln when I still lived in Grand Island . I believe he may have been an indoor/outdoor kitten prior to when I got him and possibly why he tried bolting . I thought I had a couple leads but they had come to a dead end .. I am willing to offer a reward to anyone who has found him . I pray he's been taken in by someone who is loving and caring and where he is safe and warm at the very least . He unfortunately is not chipped since all my funds went to moving at the time . 😞 Due to unfortunate circumstances of being in a bad living environment with my ex roommate at the time of his disappearance , I had to make the very heavy and heartbreaking decision of moving to Omaha for my wellbeing and safety💔 . This broke me more than anything because I tried everything in my power to try and locate him , but my time was running short and I had no other option..😭. I am very hopeful that I may one day be reunited with him . I hear of many stories of their furbabies showing up years later . I hope I am one of the lucky bunches .🥺🤞🤞🤞 I thought I had a couple leads but they had come to a dead end .. I am willing to offer a reward to anyone who has found him . I will be making posts in the Grand Island lost pet pages in the miracle that he had traveled back all the way to the home he was familiar with . I pray he's been taken in by someone who is loving and caring and where he is safe and warm at the very least . If anyone has him , please .... please please please , I will pay you handsomely ... I know you may love him , but I just want my Phantom back .. It crushes my soul that it's been so long without him .. I think of him all the time and would give anything to get him back, I love him with every ounce of me and I know Ember (my other cat that he bonded with) misses him too 😭🙏 Thank you ..
