UPDATE: The fugitive has been apprehended. 🐾 What. A. Morning! He is microchipped and normally wears a harness with an AirTag. Unfortunately, about two hours before his great escape, he got the zoomies and somehow wiggled his way out of the harness. (Honestly, I’m starting to think he watched a few Houdini documentaries.) I had every intention of putting the harness back on before bed… but apparently he already had other plans. Sometime during the night, he dug a hole under the fence and made his escape. I drove around searching from 4am to 5:30, then headed back out with my son from 5:45 to 6:40, when we finally found him. The PawBoost sighting pinged about 3 miles away, so we drove there and started knocking on doors. After finally hearing back from the person who reported finding him, we discovered he was actually THREE HOUSES AWAY FROM OURS. So basically, while I was driving all over town, this little stinker was enjoying a staycation in the neighborhood 🤦🏻‍♀️ He’s now home safe, sound, thoroughly exhausted (as am I) and acting like absolutely nothing happened. A huge thank you to everyone who shared his post, kept an eye out, and helped us search. We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing neighbors. ❤️ Today’s mission: Buy a smaller harness. One that’s less “pet accessory” and more “maximum-security correctional facility.”
