Update. Still has not been claimed by his family, goes up for adoption Monday July 13th. Can't thank they Genesee Humane Society enough for taking him in and getting him cleaned up.

He is now at the Genesee Humane Society, with no chip or tags they will hold him for 5 business days before he is forfeited for adoption. If he is your sweet boy please go pick him up and bring proof of ownership.

Paula Sue I've switched his collar to one that's not embedded into his fur, I'm going to try working out a solution for tonight so he's not out in the fireworks as they're going to be super bad tonight. But I can't let him into the main part of our house as he's an intact male.

Joshua Tilley did you remove his collar? At least if he escapes your yard there will not be a concern of his collar getting embedded and him choking. I volunteered at the GCAC several years and this is sadly is a situation that happens too often. Being emaciated with a thin collar means the owner or someone tightened it intentionally. If the collar was loose someone could use the e cause he was lost awhile. His humans were not caring for him.
