Notify the chip company and make sure contact info is current with chip company. File online lost reports with shelters. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. Check Craigslist lost and found and pets for sale ads. Keep checking shelters online and in person.

7/26/26 Please respond have you located him?? Did you call the microchip company and report missing and DOUBLE check it actually got registered?? BIG MISTAKE to assume got done Big reason why many are at the shelters and or owners change numbers and do not tell the chip company.Also don't rely on vet shelters or anybody else calling! Take CHIP ID in every couple days ask them to look it up.Yes you should be looking at the website several times a day.They start updating when the public can bring them in aroubd Noon but the deceased will not be on the websites... You live right on the borderline so if Sacramento County animal control picks up they will take 2 Bradshaw shelter.. If City of Sacramento picks up they will take 2 Frontstreet... Trust me do not rely on shelter's calling just because her microchip owners do that all the time another big reason why they're at the shelters.Many times they can't get a hold of the owners for some reason.BE CONSISTENT with ALL

You put absolutely no info on your next door poster neighbors ring app you need to include all the information I suggested in your phone numbers..... You do understand many many people Get notifications way too late you may even as well like meaning a few days later a week later.... I won't do any good... Have you notified the microchip company missing and double check with them to the chip got registered?? Its owner's responsibility and you're at fault if you don't follow through and make sure they have your phone number address and email entered Correctly..... Over half of them are at shelters because owners don't follow through or they change numbers and do not notify the chip company........ Also because you're close to the border line of the shelter jurisdictions.Make sure you check both Frontstreet shelter and Bradshaw several times a day public can start bringing them in at Noon. Never ever rely on shelter's calling you just because microchips.Many owners make that mistake and if for some reason they can't get a hold of you they only hold them 7 days before adopting out or in some cases euthanizing for space...... When you go in take your microchip ID every time ask them to look it up and show them pictures and walk around...BE FAITHFUL For as long as it takes the deceased are not on website.. Does not mean they are they could just simply be roaming for a while and maybe scared to go to anybody.
