Caged birds usually fly straight or just keep going up and up, often in circles, unable to land. Baby bird is probably close to your neighborhood, staying close in a tree or a house. They land and just stay, they aren't used to flying. Take your cage and literally call out to it and listen. Our bird accidentally flew after my husband and we found her a few hours later, attached to the stucco on the back of our neighbors house. Sending warm thoughts that baby gets home.
