Put an article of clothing with your scent on it on your porch close to where she got out. Cats have a wonderful sense of smell and will come to those items. Leave a window cracked nearby so that you can hear her. Cats usually don’t go more than a few houses in any direction, so post pictures around the neighborhood and on doors. Ask neighbors to keep an eye out and to check garages and sheds. Cats hide, usually fairly close by. They tend to come out after dark, so look for her then. Call and rattle a treat can if she likes those. If you put food out, stay close by, because it will also attract other animals that might scare her away. Don't leave it out very long. Also, go in person to shelters and vets' offices, and leave a picture and phone number there. I hope you find her!

After 10 PM, go out of your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard, calling your cats name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Look in the bushes with your flashlight to see if the cats’s hiding in there. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors. Ask them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they’ve been in their shed out building a garage since your cat went missing. Cats go in those places to hide.
