Place a trap in the area where the cat was last seen. Create scent trails on the grass and ground leading to the trap, ideally monitored with a trail cam, so you can respond quickly when the cat is in the trap. Get a towel and rub it with your dirty laundry, blankets, socks, or anything else with the scent of home. (Do not use kitty litter.) Tie a rope to the towel and drag the towel from the areas where you think the cat might be, creating scent trails leading to the trap. You won’t smell the scent on the towel or the ground, but the cat will. Load the trap with a little cat food or chicken, enough to attract the cat from the trail that leads up to it. Rely on the scent trails to get your cat to the trap. Rain and snow will wash away the scent trails, so you’ll have to drag again afterwards. Also, it might help to renew the trails every couple days. Important: . Never leave a trap unattended, always keep an eye on it, checking it every 1/2 hour in person or with a trail cam. It should be positioned close to where the cat escaped or were last seen. . Trail cam photos and videos are marked with time stamps, helpful to know if and when the cat shows up but one doesn’t go into the trap.

Trap & camera are key!!! Our boy was finally trapped after 45days! Seen almost nightly on camera. Local the entire time!! Don’t give up! CHECK GARAGES ETC!!

o! He cat’s name is Sunnie! (Not sure what happened with the post and cannot fix it). Unfortunately, we do not live close to where she was lost, but have been returning to the area to look. We’ve left flyers and contacted shelters. She had a long day of travel on 5/19 and was finally returning home on the day she ran. We think she was scared and tired. Hoping she is found soon! My daughter is heartbroken 💔

Flyers in neighborhoods walk neighborhoods day and evening talk to neighbors check shelters check sheds garages normafor lly don't go far from home. I had a cat got into a neighbors bat and was there for a week until the man open the door out came Shadow. He remember seeing Shadow picture. I hope you fine your sweet kitty safe 💗
