If his collar was found at home on the ground.Do you think someone took it off and purposely?And left it there so it wouldn't be on the cat, and they may have your cat?

Borrow a humane trap. Set it right beside the place that he got out. Put kitties favorite food, treats and sardines in the trap with a trail of juice & sprinkle catnip in the juice, leading out of the trap. Put an article of his favorite human’s unlaundered clothing, over top of the trap. Have his favorite human sit in the spot he got out, at dusk &/or dawn. Talk to him softly like, he was sitting right beside you because, he will not be far away. Gently shake his treat container & take a laser pointer & move it around very slowly so as to peak his curiosity & not scare him away further. Also set trail cams to see if kitty is there. Trap must be monitored at all times. Put up flyers

Don’t give up hope! Mine got out two years ago around this time and was gone for about 4 days. I suspect based on where his collar was found that he was hanging out under the neighbors porch. They usually don’t wander far. Best time to look for him is late at night. I’ve heard they feel safer venturing out after dark. I managed to grab my Takoda and get him back in the house with his fur siblings when I heard him meowing after dark one night and saw him run into my yard. Praying you’ll be reunited with him soon.

I am so sorry your cat is missing ! 😢 Set a trap if you can watch over it with some of your unwashed clothing, his favorite blanket, litter box and tuna or sardines. Make flyers to hang up and drop off to shelters and humane society. Take in litter box and trap at night bc of predators. I hope you find him safe soon! If you get him back safe get a catio to try to keep him in ! He is so cute! I’ll share
