Cats do not roam like dogs do. They are usually in a 5 to 7 house radius. But they get so scared they go into a protective mode So they find a safe place and stay there . So you have to lure them out. Soon as possible Start calling him. Check with your neighbors and ask them to check their garages and sheds etc.. If they will allow you to search their yards that's great He may be hi ffg king in your yard or neighbors. Late at night when quiet walk as and call him Shake a bag of treats or a favorite toy. Use your flashlight to look up trees in shrubs and in storm drains. Post fliers door to door.
