Description

Male Tabby, gray, black, brown, green eyes. CONFIRMED: his chip number was mixed up at the vet's office! His registered chip number is not the number implanted. Please contact me for vet's chip sequence to confirm vet's office (Hawaii). Neutered, could be mistaken for a female (vet snipped him very small!) Last seen wearing a bright PINK collar.

Message from Owner

ESA, highly intelligent, doesn't like tuna. Fixed and Chipped (BUT vet in Hawaii might have mixed up the chip number, didn't correct until recently - unsure if it's the correct number I have). He's about 5 years old, saggy tummy. Missed greatly. Please help. Had a brand new bright PINK reflective collar (breakaway) with PINK bell.

Debra Bontrager thanks ☺️ but I was temporarily homeless when Rain got out of my jeep at a rest area (Galesburg)… I spent a month there searching… the entire area, nearby neighborhoods, flyers etc. 🥺

You’re probably getting a lot of advice but I hope some/all of these tips help you bring home your baby quickly! Most important tip, do not wait for your cat to show up. Be very active in your efforts to bring your baby home, fliers, door knocking, going out at night with flashlight, etc. If you’re unsure if he/she’s still close by I highly recommend an outdoor camera. It doesn’t have to be a Ring that requires a subscription. I have an indoor/outdoor Wyze purchased from Amazon for less than $40 (does require separate purchase of outdoor power cable but that was cheap). I set the camera up to alert me when it detects movement and it immediately pops up on my phone. Leave food out close to house/apartment entry to encourage your cat to stay close by rather than wander away looking for resources. Also, if possible, leave the door or window to the house/apartment or garage cracked open because they often will wander up and come right inside.

Cats typically stay close to home. Quiet times are the best times to look for and warch for them. Cats can become disoriented and you will need to go get them. Go out when it's quiet and take a flashlight and a favorite toy or treat to shake when calling for them. Be prepared to crawl into a space to get them. Check crawl spaces with a flashlight. I had one that was disoriented and the flashlight caught the top of his ears. I had to crawl in and get him. I have found him in a bush another time. The flashlight caught the reflection of his eyes. The vet explained to me it's because they are territorial animals and that they can become disoriented. I have found mine under my home twice, once under a low deck and even under a neighbor's car in their yard. Ask your neighbors if you might be allowed to look around for your pet. Put up flyers! Leave one in your car window. Post also on Next Door Neighbor and Pawboost. Alert shelters and local police.

Jackie Walters thanks Jackie, but he got out of my jeep when I was sleeping in my jeep / the rest area / homeless at the time. I searched the rest area for over a month (I didn't leave), every neighbor on Miller knows I was searching (they even called the police on me.) I'm hoping whoever must've taken him from the rest area will come forward / get him scanned or ???? I posted flyers nearby and the rest area maintenance guy (hates everyone) took my flyers down. 😿 I moved out of state and have a home... but it's not the same without my baby. I am doing everything I can think of... thank you for your help. ❤
