He is very friendly, a bit bigger than the average hse cat and spotted like a cheetah. You can’t miss him… but we sure do.

Put out something that he's familiar with that carries his scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox). CALL FOR HIM IN THE QUIET, STILL HOURS (11pm-7am). THIS IS SO IMPORTANT (5am seems to be the luckiest hour)!!!!!!! Scared cats move around while the rest of the world is still. Put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Talk to your neighbors, generally, they don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down. If these suggestions don’t work: lost pet cats may not respond the way you’d expect your beloved kitty to and they may not just come to your calling so be prepared to have to use a humane trap (he will return to himself once he’s back inside) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes him in they will need litter and food). I hope you find him 🍀

Maybe you can share these stories with the owner..I pray he makes it back to you…A couple stories to share about cats that got out..A cat got out of someone’s home and they were searching day and at night with flashlights for four day. (The cat actually jumped out of an open window and slid off the roof) Then at 3 in the morning the ring doorbell alerted the owners of the cat and they eventually got her back in..just saying don’t give up and keep calling for the cat where last seen. Here is another example how the cat was near by. Spread the great news: Luna has been reunited with her family after 10 days, 20 hours! Here is a picture of her home safe and sound :) "Luna came home after almost 3 wks. Found right next door behind neighbor's garage. Thank you all for your support and prayers!"

Please also share to the local Willoughby Facebook page and also to Nextdoor. Ask that residents keep an eye out and to also check their outdoor cameras for any sightings. Also, ask that they check their garages, sheds and any other outbuildings in case she accidentally got locked inside. If she is friendly, someone may have taken her during our arctic cold spell.

Try a live trap, they are fairly cheap, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope
