Message from Owner

My little fluffball, named Velocity because she likes to run, escaped from my home Oct. 7 while I was out of town. The sitter wasn't sure when she slipped out and a neighbor's cam caught her 10 hses to the north of us. Since then -- nothing. Am crazy with worry; I live on Cougar Mountain that has predators. Every day that goes by lessens her chances of survival. Have checked with the nearby middle school and retirement center for their cams - no luck. If you see her on YOUR cam - please tell me!

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. However some folks have set the litter box out with success - this is up to you. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! Consider building a CATIO - for THEIR safety. https://thefurbearers.com/.../catio-season-why-cat.../

But if the cat is hundreds of feet away, how do I know she's anywhere close enough to find our place? I tried leaving the garage door open the first night with a can of food - nothing.
