If you're still looking 24 hours later, I suggest that you acquire a tracker. Just because the more time that goes by, the more the scent dissipates. Also take photos and go door-to-door every home every business ask them to check their doorbells and cameras for sightings. You don't need to see their personal recordings; you just need them to tell you where, the date, and the time so that you can actually mark it on a physical map. That way you can see if your baby circling in area etc. Please share that information with the tracker. Send flyers to all vets and pet stores starting with a 30 mile radius (at least) and increasing it by 4 or 5 miles per day of absence. Incorporate any new vets or pet stores as the radius increases. Use your radius to incorporate shelters and visit them daily. I know that's hard so get family members or friends that know your dog well to help you do this. Once your dog is out running around getting sweaty and dirty, they won't look like they're cute little pictures. So it needs to be someone that really knows your dog and the dog knows them. Sometimes dogs get spooked once they're lost and they won't even come to their owners. If you see your dog and call and it doesn't come to you immediately, turn your back, sit down and have a good old-fashioned kids meal with a plain burger and fries --- throw some towards the dog cause they'll smell it… Usually, dogs can't resist a french fry. Or a burger. Make it small pieces, throw it over your shoulder, and just keep waiting until they're finally in your lap. Not close enough to reach out and grab because if you miss, you just spooked them. If you do the posters, I recommend that you put them at intersections where there are stop signs and stoplights. Otherwise people are driving past so fast they don't get the information and you need them to take a moment and read it, see it, or take a photo on their phone. I would recommend that you go on your Facebook page and post 15 to 20 times a day with different photos and wording and a good contact. You're trying to get it shared to the point that it's viral because the more shares means the more eyes looking. Many people recommend that you hang out unwashed laundry or the dog's blanket so it will blow in the breeze. Your dog is more likely to pick up that scent before we would from a great distance and get an idea of how to get home. Also, your baby's going to be hungry and absolutely positively thirsty! It's been so hot so you don't want heatstroke to set in; carry bottled water with you. But look in places where you think your dog might smell something in the way of food or water. They're going to need sustenance and there's only one way to find it .... their nose. Call all rescue groups especially breed specific to your dog and ask for help so that you can be out searching day and night. Your dog needs a safe place to hunker down and get some sleep because that little baby is going to be tired. Stress is tiring and lack of food and water can be exhausting. When you're going door-to-door if you have just a little paper with your name and number or you have flyers for your dog that you can leave so, if the person sees your pet, they can contact you, that would be great. Shared . Put up big neon posters everywhere including your car. Drive around often and speak with everyone including postman etc. Crank up a grill and hopefully the smell will draw its attention. Go to pounds often and DON'T just call. Request a walk through. IMPORTANT !!!!!!

*It’s very important in the search for your dog to put up neon lost dog signs in the area that they went missing as soon as possible. Someone may see your dog and not know how to contact you. Plus not everyone is on a social media pet site. *Please complete the online lost pet form on the Cobb County Animal Shelter website in case someone finds them - see link below. Please be sure to check the animal shelter IN PERSON frequently. *Suggest putting out worn/dirty clothes with your scent outside to leave a scent to follow home. *Suggest asking neighbors to check their Ring cameras for any sightings *If your dog is microchipped, please notify the microchip company that your dog is missing and also check to be sure your contact info is current. If it’s with Save the Life please be advised this company went out of business 1/2025 and your dog’s microchip is now unregistered. *Recommend posting on NextDoor **PLEASE be aware of scammers !!
