The flashlight trick works A LOT! Indoor cats tend to stay very close to the foundation of the house the first few days…Try the flashlight trick tonight after dusk...check behind bushes, under decks, under tarps, behind HVAC units, etc....Go out early morning or after dark when it’s very quiet out, and quietly (don’t yell) call him....chances are he's scared. DON’T put the litter box outside... other critters may climb in or tip it over and their smell will scare your cat AWAY...ok to put out some clumps from the litter box...
