Message from Owner

Looking to see what happened to this neighborhood cat that claimed us for the last 8 - 10 years. Haven’t seen it all week and it usually comes around for dinner time and is seen with a short haired black and white cat. They’ve been best friends this whole time and now the black and white one is sad when it comes for dinner time. The orange cat is kind of friendly at least to my dad because he rubs against my dad’s legs and runs to him for dinner and the cat also lets me come close enough to touch it even though it looks at me in disgust

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Tips to find Kitty: Go out around 3am, when it is quiet. Take a plastic cup with some dry food in it shaking it calling Kitty's name. Pause and listen for a faint meow. Also, take a flash light to look for eye shine under bushes, cars and anything a cat can hide under while calling it's name. Cats honker down and go silent when scared. May take a few times or more to coerce kitty out of hiding. They normally stay within 2 blocks of home. Unless chased farther away. Have some wet food or treats to lure kitty out of hiding when you spot them. Cats are resourceful and hide well. Check with neighbors in case it got locked in a garage, shed or under a house crawl space. On a darker note, if it was attacked by a coyote, there will be remains left behind. Normally on a lawn in plain sight within 3 houses of where kitty was caught. Ask neighbors or gardeners if they found any such remains. It will at least bring you closure. My cat went missing for 30 days, under my neighbor's crawl space. Took another 6 to get him back home inside with treats. Never left again. So be patient and do not give up. Good luck.
