Message from Finder

I am so sorry to whoever loved this cat. They are a very large/chubby cat, so they must have been loved. My boyfriend and I buried the cat to avoid further decomposition. I nicknamed the cat Yogi since I saw him on my way to yoga. I hope we can find whoever loved this kitty.

Amelia VP for anyone who doesn't understand what your intent was, they are jerks. It was very admirable to go above and beyond, and normal people understand that you posted with hopes of giving the family closure. Don't let the negative comments get to you.

*ORIGINAL POSTER* Hey everyone, I’m so sorry for the upsetting image. I tried replacing it with a more censored version, but it l looks like I’d have to remove the entire post to do that. I did not initially censor it because I felt like the angle hid the majority of the trauma and I also did not want to hide the markings on his head for ID purposes. My intent was not to upset anyone, and I’ll be more careful with censorship if I come across another dead cat. My only intent and hope is to possibly give someone closure.

Alley Shumate Yeah, I was thinking that too. I wasn’t sure how long bloat would last because he’s been swollen like that for the last 4 days I’ve driven past him. I will say he’s a very large cat even without the bloat, he almost looked like a corgi when I first saw him.

Poor baby. The heat also causes deceased animals to swell so he may not have really been that “chubby”.

Amelia VP In response to your reply to Teresa, if you have a photo editing app on your phone, you could put a "sticker" over any parts of the animal that you don't want to be seen. Let me see if I can do an example.

Isabell Daniela SforzaThank you Isabell, that is my exact intention. I wish the cat wasn’t in the state he was.
