LOST CAT There are a handful of things you can do. First thing, put kitty’s litter pan outside, the scent will carry, and will smell like home. If you have more than one put one out front and out back. Also place something that smells like you, unwashed clothing, fitted sheet from your bed etc ALSO, When you go out looking for himher, don't expect her to "come when called" I don't care how friendly the kitty, A scared cat will very often freeze in place. OUR cat was so scared, we had to physically drag her out from under the bush where she was hidden. Check trees, some cats are bush/low cats. some feel higher is safer. On Facebook there are several lost/found pages to post on "The Way Home For Lost And Found Animals - Ellis County Area" --- Found Pets in Ellis County --- "Ellis County Animal Lost & Found-ReHome-Buy-Sell-Trade"and “Waxahachie, TX - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets” Some of them are a closed group, but if you mention you have a lost cat they’re quick to accept and you’ll be able to post on them. Then share one of those links (so it can be shared) on "Waxahachie Talk" & "Waxahachie Buzz" Also post on Nextdoor. Do this first thing, they’re great sites. ALSO, Also call Animal control in Waxahachie everyday for a long time. Ask if you can post a 3x5 index card with the lost info. If they vaguely say they might have a cat like yours go in, don't trust them to decide if it's them. Post signs at every at street corner neighbors might use to exit the neighborhood. You should also go to all Waxahachie Vets with a 3x5 index card with their lost info. There’s also no such thing as too many lost cat signs. Lots of people aren't on Facebook {just LOST CAT, photo , his name, your phone number REWARD if you can) Place at entrance/exit to every neighborhood you can. Sorry I wrote an entire novel for you lol. PLEASE keep us updated. Maybe ask the neighbors who have the closest houses at the corners if you can place a stake with a sign in their yard for a week. You promise to remove it in a week or they can take it down when they choose Also, (I have no clue the cost, but worth checking out) Someone on Nextdoor posted this, "Thanks to the expedient, professional, and caring service from Bonnie Hale and her scent dog Idabell our boy (their cat) is home safe and sound!" contact info: http://www.lostpetspecialist.com/
