I know you are heartbroken…
Is he/she chipped?
If so call the registered agent they will help.
If not chipped, visit as many vets nearby and let them know. Most people that find a dog know to take it to the vet to have them checked for a chip. If the vets office has been notified, they can contact you or let that person know that the owner is looking for the dog. Take them a poster.
Visit the humane society & shelters (in person) Ask neighbors to check their ring camera recordings to see if he/she has been by their house. If you know of anyone that has a drone ask them to look in areas like wooded areas, back areas of ponds, etc…
Give flyers to the mailman, prime guy, UPS man, etc…
Dog in the element, lost, etc change their appears very quickly, check every dog that is sent to you to be sure it's not yours. Lastly, depending on your area check homeless areas, they love picking up dogs. If you see your dog go quickly as they hide, call the police, tell them your calling the police, its your dog!
