Make sure to go IN PERSON DAILY to City of San Antonio Animal Care Services. Do NOT trust they they will know or actually look it you call. Go out at night or early morning when the world is a little more quiet and less scary and being smelly foods like bacon. Also set out some dirty clothes of yours and the dogs bed outside to help them catch the scent of the way home. Do NOT send anyone a code even if they say they are an animal control officer- it is a SCAM!
