All black cat with green eyes. On the smaller side, friendly but a little skittish.

Back in April, I first saw this little black cat outside my hse. They are pretty consistent about coming over around 9:30 PM most nights. Does anyone recognize them? They are pretty friendly, but also a little skittish, so I am wondering if they are lost or if they are someone's indoor/outdoor cat? They are not starving because they did not devour the food I gave them, but they feel a little dirty, as if they have been outside for a while.
