Message from Owner

Hello! We are new to Durham and our kitty slipped out the front door in the moving shuffle. She is petite and sweet, tends to be scared and is probably hiding somewhere low down. She loves milk tops especially red ones and often gives a double meow when she’s happy: “meow, MEOW!” Her name is Opal, we really miss her and want her to come back home.

Praying your sweet kitty is safe and will return home soon or someone will help reunite with your family 🙏🐾💕🐈‍⬛💕🤞😔 Keep looking and calling out for her shake some treat/kibble even in the dusk/evening hrs bring flashlight. Make neighbors aware and ask them to check their door ring cameras and continue to check their yards, shrubs, trees, crawl spaces, sheds, garages etc. she may be scared and hiding somewhere. If she’s microchipped make sure her information is updated and accurate with the microchip service and contact her veterinarian also. Check shelters in person often and let them know your kitty is missing. Post flyers everywhere with picture and as much of her description/information. Keep checking on Facebook posts of found cats that are lost and people trying to reunite with their families. Post on Pawboost to circulate and let people know in your area that your kitty is missing. Contact other organizations that help find lost pets even with drones and they may have suggestions what you can do. Keep something with her scent like a bed/blanket or something of yours like unwashed shirt/sweater outside on covered porch to help her find home Don’t give up hope! Sharing this post

If you haven’t already, try posting to Lost & Found Pets of the Triangle, NC. It’s an active group and they will give you good tips for finding a missing cat. FYI - just about every recommendation for a ‘generic’ pet finding service is a scam.
