Message from Owner

Small long haired, white pawed girl cat named Cleo (should have jingle collar and name tag) was last seen at 5pm on 7/5 in our yard on 55th and Hawthorne. She is an indoor and outdoor cat but always stays close to home and comes home for meals. If you live close to us, can you check your garages and tall trees? Please keep an eye for our girl ~ she is friendly and vocally responsive. We are very worried as this is not like her to be gone this long. Thank you so much for sharing!! Let’s bring her home.

Please place his bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a can of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbo🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck 🍀finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. Some folks feel putting the litter box out has helped, you will have to decide. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT If possible consider building a Catio - so much safer for kitties who like the sights/smells of outdoors. attached is one website to build, there are many - google or fb has many showing how to build one.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Please be aware that scammers are calling and pretending to be Oregon humane society, they requested partial payment through Zelle or cash app and prior to that seemed so believable. They told me my boy Sam was in critical condition and needed emergency surgery. I don’t want anyone else to go through that, or worse go through that and lose $3100 +
