Try Going out late at night ie midnight and again early am ie 5 or 6 am with their smelly food and treats. Shake treat bag and call out their name. Take a flashlight and check under porches and bushes. Also if you can leave a bat window and garage door open so they can get in. Do for multiple days if needed. Good luck

** Time is of the essence, for finding your lost cat. ** Your cat is probably nearby. Indoor cats usually find a hiding spot very quickly, and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees, and check under everything in YOUR YARD first… under decks, bushes, wood piles and sheds. Then check your neighbors yards. The best time to find your cat is at night, with a flashlight, when their eyes glow back at you. ***If your cat is scared, it will not respond to you calling him/her, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears. *** ***When inside cats are suddenly outside, they can go into "survival mode,” and their entire personality changes.*** They, generally, will NOT wander. At least, not at first. (Unless they are not neutered/spayed.) Make sure to leave food and fresh water outside, in case they come out of hiding at night. Canned tuna (packed in oil) is nice and smelly. Also, a piece of your "worn" clothing, with your scent on it left outside, along with their bedding, with their scent on it, will definitely help. And, if you have a container or bag of treats that they really like.. shake it outside for your cat to hear. Also, leave your garage door or a window open a few inches in case it comes back at night. (5-7 inches.) [A special consideration in the cold weather, is to please CHECK UNDER THE HOOD of your vehicle! Oftentimes, a cat, especially an indoor only one, will seek out shelter or warmth in the engine area of your car. Do not start your vehicle, until you’ve checked! Be proactive. Cats that escape from indoors will most likely stay close by. They will go into hiding but come out at nighttime. Go out when it’s dark, or early morning around 5 am , use a flashlight and call out by name, look in bushes, under cars etc. Talk to your neighbors and get the flyers out , they are really helpful for those who won’t see your posts on the internet. Put out some clothing to attract the cat’s smell, if possible set up a Wi-Fi camera to monitor and if the cat comes- set a trap. The cat will try to find a food source so try setting up a food station and monitor. Report to your local police and if the cat is microchipped, make sure the info is up to date. I would also email or call shelters in case animal control picks it up. Check their websites daily as new cats come in all the time.

❗ Call the microchip company ASAP, they will send out an alert. ❗️Post flyers everywhere, including local shelters, vets, and police stations. Make sure to call all of them to see if anyone has turned the cat in. ❗️Post on the Citizen App ASAP, it will reach thousands of people in your area in a matter of minutes. ❗️Ask neighbors if they have cameras or ring doorbells, and if they can look at them to see if he passed by. ❗️Buy or rent a trap from a rescue, vet, police station, friend, or neighbor. ❗️Get cans of 9-Lives, put the trap by your house or building, and put the food inside (1 can at a time on a plate). Write a note: “Please don’t touch, trapping lost cat, please call (add your #) if seen.” Check the trap every 15 minutes, as you might catch other wildlife that needs to be released. ❗️Be patient — it can take a couple of days to catch him as cats get scared when not used to being outside, and they act differently. They normally hide during the day and come out at night. ❗️Check under the porches and back decks of neighbors, as they make great hiding spots, along with bushes. ❗Use a flashlight when searching at night, if the light hits her face, her eyes will glow. ❗️Use a drone to scan the area, yards, and hard to access area 🙏🏻 You find him soon 🐈‍⬛
