In addition to the Pawboost post, it is VERY important to deliver flyers door-to-door. Since he is an "indoor" kitty, he will probably not have wandered too far away since he is not familiar with the area. Take the flyers to homes in a five house radius from yours in all directions for a start. Ask neighbors to check their garages, outbuildings, under shrubs, decks and porches. Mention if he is chipped. OFFER A REWARD! Put some of your unwashed clothes and your bed sheet outside so he can follow your scent. Do not put his litter pan out, it may attract predators or stray cats. The best time to look for him is at night, with a flashlight so you can see his eyes. Leave a window open so he can slip back in. If he does not come back tonight - then first thing in the morning, make 'food sounds'. Take his dish out and tap a spoon on it, open a can of food or tuna, if he gets treats or munchies shake the bag or container. Just sit outside and quietly call his name. He will be in hiding not wanting to reveal himself, but waiting to feel safe enough to come back. Do an online search "best ways to find a lost housecat" for expert tips. Follow the suggestions to increase your chances of finding him. This will take time and effort on your part, but I'm sure he's worth it! Praying.
