Please search up in trees on your property, under low growing shrubs and decks and ask your neighbors to check their property. Reminder: NEVER put food outside unless you are outside with the food. Food attracts wild animals (bears) that may harm you, harm your cat, and will prevent your cat from approaching your property. NEVER put a cat's litter box outside as wild animals will pick up the cat's scent and it never ends well for a cat. DO try putting some of yours and your husbands unwashed clothing (t-shirt you've worn that still has your scent on it) outside near your door. This can help a confused of lost cat find its way back home. The unwashed clothing will need to be replaced a few times a day until the cat comes back home. Go in PERSON to all animal shelters to check for your cat. The nice people answering the phone will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by animal control. Call all local veterinary offices and veterinary urgent care hospitals to check if your cat was brought in to be scanned for a microchip or to be treated for an injury. Post photos of your cat in your neighborhood, at all grocery stores, and pet supply stores. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. I'm sure it would much rather be safe inside of your home than lost outside.
