I’m sorry pretty cat is missing. Sharing my tips, they are long, but very detailed and they work! Start immediately! Prayers up, sharing, keep the faith.🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾🐾 🐈 My 10-month-old Half blind and half deaf kitten went missing in late May 2018, i got her back eight days later using a humane trap and with the help of so many Wonderful people and a professional trapper of lost kitties.. these are the tips and suggestions I have put together that came from everyone that helped me: -First, please do not panic, I know how upsetting it is, stay calm, your Kitty needs all of your energy to help bring your him/her home; -Put out the kitties bed or towel and some of your unwashed clothing so that they can smell their scent and yours; always put fresh food and water out in the front and back of your house and change multiple times in the heat and cold. Once you set traps, ONLY put food in the traps, but always keep water out. -The next two steps are crucial and need to be done IMMEDIATELY: First set out humane traps, follow directions below on what to do; Second is to make up flyers as described below and get those out ASAP especially handing out to neighbors in a five house radius around your home. -If your kitty is indoor only, you must set a humane trap IMMEDIATELY ....(Google local rescue groups in your area to borrow one or call your local shelter and ask them for one.. some Home Depot‘s and Lowe’s sell them) Also set up a trail cam or camera so you can catch your kitty on the camera. Traps MUST be monitored at all times. (if you already know how to set up a trap with food, etc. skip to "Make Flyers" ...as the following is a step-by-step guideline on how to set the traps up with food, etc.) Get lots of cans of tuna in vegetable oil NOT Water, because it is very smelly, and does not freeze in cold weather....if you know the direction your kitty went, SOAK the ground with tuna juice from two different directions, one from the direction your kitty went and one from another direction close by up to the door of the trap.. you want your kitty to be hungry so only put very little bits of tuna along the way on the tuna juice trail, up to the front of the trap and then very little bits of tuna through the trap to the back of the trap where you leave more tuna on a paper towel..sardines are always great to use as well, and follow the same protocol. In by the heat food must be changed out every hour... do not sit close... you want to be able to see it but you want to make sure your kitty comes in close, things should be very very quiet and if it’s getting dark, lights should be low outside and inside the house; On top of the trap put UNWASHED clothes you have worn, i used a T-shirt and socks and on top of that cover it with a towel that you also used so all these items have your scent on it, making sure not to cover the trap door so that it closes properly; -if this is an indoor/outdoor kitty you can also use the tuna juice trail leading up to a bowl of tuna… This also must be monitored.... - MAKE FLYERS - with a really good pic of your kitty, at the top, write in bold letters “MISSING”, the date went missing, your phone number in big, black, bold letters. Bring flyers to all police station, shelters and vets offices, within a 5 mile radius of your home. If police stations & shelters are further out, bring them further out. Hand out to every single neighbor within a five house radius of your home, give to mail person & all delivery people, FedEx, UPS, Amazon, everyone walking their dogs, they see so much! Put in plastic and staple/attach to telephone poles within a 2 mile radius of your home ..Ask businesses within a 2 mile radius of your home if you can put up in their windows. Ask all local pizzerias if they will tape the flyer to the top of the pizza boxes and ask all other local food businesses if they would put a flyer in their food delivery bags. - IF you have a ring doorbell, check it regularly and if you are connected to your neighbors with ring doorbell’s please notify all of them to be on the lookout for your kitty. -90% OF MISSING INDOOR KITTIES ARE WITHIN A FIVE HOUSE RADIUS OF YOUR HOME, Draw a circle around your home and go out five houses in every direction, this area must be searched thoroughly and knock on every single neighbors door... only people who Your kitty is comfortable with should be searching for her; Everyone should have a BRIGHT flashlight with them at daytime and night time, most missing, kitties are most active at dawn and dusk, as they feel safer, then… search every area calmly, slowly and methodically, getting On your hands and knees to search low and under things…checking every inch, lost kitties can curl up into such tight balls and can get into 3 1/2 inch spaces…look under anything with a tarp on it, pool covers, grill covers, furniture covers, In any kind of a hole or crevice, all the way under porches, Under bushes, in bushes, in trees, all the way underneath sheds, in sewers, water basins, within that five house radius. -ask your neighbors if you can search their properties thoroughly, please check all their garages every square inch. -Go to all local animal shelters at least every 2-3 days and call them on a daily basis..You must go there yourselves because they are overwhelmed and there are Night workers/volunteers that may not realize that your kitty has been brought in.. -DO NOT put a litter box out as it will attract Feral cats & other predators Who will scare your kitty away and it will catch mouse droppings and bird droppings and change the scent. -Go out at night and walk slowly, looking for the shine of your cats eyes with a BRIGHT flashlight, usually they are most active half hour before and after sunrise and sunset.. when you are searching call your kitties name softly and then really listen to see if you can hear him.. remember they are usually within a five house radius... -If this is the only furbaby in the home, and you can, leave your screen door open at night & sit there quietly, you’re kitty may come right in the door (that’s what my neighbors kitty did) or leave a window open that your kitty can come home thru... if you have a garage, leave the garage door open slightly... keep the lights low in and outside your house and keep things inside and outside your house very very quiet, so that he/she does not feel threatened by coming home; -Some kitties come home on their own, some you must search for, and some you must trap with a humane trap… Some kitties who get out Are so terrified they will revert to some feral behavior and hide even though their owner might be very close by and calling...... for these kitties you have to trap them, that’s what I had to do with mine. -Kitties who are indoor/outdoor will also mark their territory with The scent glands from their mouth when they rub their face against a tree, etc. and they also have scent in their paw pads that they will follow to go back home, but when it rains these scents are diminished and then they cannot find their way home because they see in black-and-white & don’t know their home from other homes...That’s why it is imperative to begin searching immediately for them. 2/6/19 - Just received this info from Trish Wright while looking for her kitties: I recently discovered a site called LostMyKitty. They offer a service that does Amber alert phone calls to surrounding houses for a fee. If you decide to use this service, choose the free option first, it then offers the amber alert srvice at 50% off the price. (Thank you Trish!) Keep repeating everything and take all of the suggestions, your sweet baby wants to come home, Keep the faith!! Praying and sharing🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾🐾❤️

Lost house cats usually do not go far. Look in,under, on top of all structures/trees in the near vicinity. Have a flashlight with you as his/her eyes will reflect in the dark. If you do see him/her, no sudden movements. Have some treats or his/her food with you. Also, if you can leave a door or window slightly open, he/she may come back in their own. Keep an ear to the outside after dark. Many kitties come back after dark and meow to be let back in. Leave a piece of clothing with your scent near the open space that is helpful.Have neighbors look in garages, sheds and other structures. Also if you did not see him/her get out or know for sure she/he did, check every inch of your house, she/he could be trapped or hiding somewhere. Good Luck!!

*Start asap* all these tips from all of us are really great tips... they really do work... pleaseeee keep repeating...check with your neighbors for any sightings and ask if they have cameras..go out really late at night or really early in am... middle of the night with flashlight and call for him/her and then quietly listen he/she may be hiding scared injured or stuck somewhere ...shine the flashlight around his/her eyes will reflect off of it...keep checking the shelters go in person make sure you're going to correct shelter where animal control would bring a cat from your area... they are too busy to contact you and check all the pets coming in...set up trail cameras near ur home ..they only take pics when something is in front of it moving ..so you don't have to look thru 24 hours of camera everyday... (there are great ppl out there to lend one to you and so many ppl in the community will help you look for him/her) if you can monitor, set a humane trap with really strong smell food to attract and make sure that’s the only food out for him/her…all the tips to find lost cats really really do work please follow them.keep posting and we'll keep sharing and hang lots of fliers talk to as many ppl and hand them fliers...it'Il keep him/her on everyone's mind so they are always on the lookout…concentrate on putting up fliers especially in ur area they really don't go far at all. If they do go outside or are not neutered/spayed may travel further. No litter box please it may attract predators. Prayers for your kitty out there and you find ok him/her asap!!!
